Avs To Celebrate 20th Season In Denver During 2015-16 Campaign

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club today unveiled the logo for the franchise’s 20th anniversary season in Denver, which will be celebrated throughout the 2015-16 campaign.

“The Avalanche have established a legacy in Denver over the past 20 years, including winning the Stanley Cup twice and countless memories in between,” said Avalanche President & Governor Josh Kroenke. “Throughout this 20th anniversary season, the organization will host a variety of events to honor the first two decades of Avalanche hockey. The support of our fan base has been tremendous since our inaugural season, and we look forward to celebrating with our fans throughout the year.”

“The entire organization is excited for the many events planned this season, which will culminate with the Coors Light NHL Stadium Series outdoor game against the Detroit Red Wings in February,” said Avalanche Executive Vice President/General Manager Joe Sakic. “We would like to thank our fans for being such a big part of our 20-year history, from McNichols Arena to Pepsi Center.”

Dates and detailed information for the Avalanche’s 20th anniversary season will be announced in August.
