7 Mark Good
Older Brother of DJ, Mark was a fringe player during the 2000-01 season, getting Ice team, inbetween studying. He left during the 2001 off season to go to university and play for the BNL side Edinburgh Capitals. The following season saw DJ and Dale Howey join him in Edinburgh as Whitley were forced to rebuild. When Mark returned in 2005, he was like a breath of fresh air, giving us something we had been lacking in the previous 3 seasons. He quietly got about his job working hard for the team up and down the right wing and contributed massively with his all-round play. He wasn't the most prolific of goal scorers like say DJ but when he did score they were usually something special, with a rocket like shot, proving to hard for opposing goaltenders to stop. As the team brought back more of their past heroes Mark was able to settle onto a very productive line alongside his good friend Shaun Kippin and the teenager Nathan Taylor. A few injury problems hampered him in the following years although that looks all behind him now with him once again linking up with Shaun and his brother DJ.
