Winter Olympics 2018 - Russia Roster
Russian Olympic team boss Oleg Znarok has named the roster for the forthcoming 2018 Winter Olympics, and with the exception of Metallurg pair Vasily Koshechkin and Sergei Mozyakin, the squad is made up of players from the army teams of Petersburg or Moscow.
The Olympic hockey tournament runs from the 14th to the 25th of February, and Oleg Znarok's men will face the USA, Slovenia and Slovakia in the group stage.
Goaltenders: Igor Shestyorkin (SKA), Ilya Sorokin (CSKA), Vasily Koshechkin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk);
Defensemen: Artyom Zub, Dinar Khafizullin, Vladislav Gavrikov, Vyacheslav Voynov, Andrei Zubarev (all SKA), Alexei Marchenko, Bogdan Kiselevich, Nikita Nesterov (all CSKA);
Forwards: Ivan Telegin, Sergei Andronov, Mikhail Grigorenko, Kirill Kaprizov (all CSKA), Sergei Mozyakin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), Pavel Datsyuk, Sergei Kalinin, Ilya Kablukov, Sergei Shirokov, Ilya Kovalchuk, Nikolai Prokhorkin, Vadim Shipachyov, Alexander Barabanov, Nikita Gusev (all SKA).
Three more players have been called up to for the final stage of pre-Olympic training: defensemen Nikita Tryamkin (Avtomobilist), Yegor Yakovlev (SKA), and forward Vladimir Tkachyov (Ak Bars).
