My friend Ashleigh from Houston spotted this piece about the Texas City needing an NHL team.

I still think there is a good chance Houston could get an NHL team. The league has mentioned talks are to be carried out discussing the possibility of expansion. How about the Seattle Storm and Houston Aeros. Biggest two cities never to have a NHL team before. Seattle needs a new arena to get the Super-Sonics back. To get a new arena they have to share it with a hockey team. The Aero's were re-located due to 'arena costs' but having an NHL team in two hockey mad cities would surely work, and also evens the divisions up with all four being home to eight teams. Geographically Seattle into the Pacific and Houston into the Central would fit like, well a (hockey) glove.
