Vityaz v Medvescak 3-2
Vityaz climbed back into the playoff places after overturning a 0-2 deficit at home to Medvescak. The Croatian team came into the game on the back of four wins in six, and looked destined to maintain that upturn in form when Yann Sauve and Colby Genoway gave the visitor a solid lead by the 23rd minute.
But Vityaz is a more resolute outfit this season and hit back to level the game by the half-hour mark. Mario Kempe and Alexei Semyonov got the goals. In the third period Alexei Makeyev conjured up the winner in the 44th minute, getting his fifth goal of the season to see off the visitor.
