* It was confirmed on Monday that Whitley Warriors alternate captain Dean Holland has suffered a fractured bone in his pelvis, a torn groin and a concussion.
* Holland sustained those injuries after a horrific incident out on the ice, when a Kirkcaldy player brutally attacked him.
* He is now thankfully out of hospital and is hoping that he can be back in action before the season is out. Providing his recovery goes to schedule Holland could be skating again in 5-6 months time. By my reckoning that would be around February sometime and means he could be fresh heading into the playoffs.
* Dean thanked all those who have sent him good luck messages via Twitter.
