Florida @ Edmonton 4-2 - Hayes gave Florida a 1-0 lead 4:01 into the first period, picking up a loose puck in front of the net and firing a shot past Scrivens. Jonathan Huberdeau came close to extending the Florida lead, but his shot from the high slot hit the goal post. The Panthers hit three goal posts in the game. Eberle tied the game 4:07 into the second period off a scramble in front.
Luongo had difficulty with a point shot from Oilers defenseman Justin Schultz and was unable to grab the puck in front of him. Eventually it came to Eberle, who put it into an open net. Campbell put the Panthers up 2-1 at 6:56 of the second when his point shot was deflected by Oilers forward Matt Hendricks on the way to the net and sailed over Scrivens' shoulder. Kopecky scored 5:08 into the third period to increase Florida's lead to 3-1, taking a pass from Derek MacKenzie and beating Scrivens from in close. Panthers forward Scottie Upshall won a race to the puck behind the Oilers net and slid it to MacKenzie, who spotted Kopecky in front. Pouliot scored 32 seconds later, converting on a rebound, to pull the Oilers within a goal. Bergenheim restored the two-goal lead at 15:28, converting on a turnover by Oilers forward Nail Yakupov at the Edmonton blue line. Yakupov had the puck poked away from him and it bounced to Bergenheim, who shot it past Scrivens.

Minnesota @ Chicago 1-4 - The Blackhawks have beaten the Wild in each of the three games they've played this season. Hossa and Bickell each scored his ninth goal in the first to give Chicago a quick 2-0 lead, and that was enough thanks to Crawford. Richards and defenseman Johnny Oduya each scored in the second period to push Chicago's lead to 4-0. Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews and right wing Patrick Kane each had two assists to join Hossa, Bickell and Richards with multipoint performances for Chicago, which is second in the Central Division with 58 points. Forward Matt Cooke scored the Wild's goal at 15:08 of the third, and goalie Niklas Backstrom made 31 saves.

This time, after a slow start, the Wild used a penalty kill midway through the first period to swing momentum in their favor. They carried it for the final seven minutes of the first and opening 10 minutes of the second, but couldn't get a shot past Crawford. Minnesota failed to capitalize on several prime scoring chances, including defenseman Nate Prosser's shot off the post early in the second period that would've made it a one-goal game. Another great chance was a penalty shot by forward Jason Zucker, who was pulled down during a breakaway after Richards had made it 3-0 at 11:08. Zucker's backhand sailed wide, drawing a double fist pump from Crawford and giving the Blackhawks an emotional lift. Oduya made it 4-0 at 18:25 with his second goal of the season to complete the scoring for Chicago.

Winnipeg @ Anaheim 4-5 SO - Teemu Selanne's favorite word is "unbelievable," so it was appropriate that Sami Vatanen invoked it. Vatanen, who was in awe of Selanne when he first met his fellow Finn, completed a neat storyline when he scored in the sixth round of the shootout to give Anaheim a 5-4 win against the Jets. Vatanen beat Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec with a wrist shot to bookend a night that started with the Sucks retiring Selanne's No. 8 jersey. Rakell tied the game 4-4 with his second goal, third of the season, with 2:03 remaining in the third period. He deftly collected a pass from behind the net from Patrick Maroon and stuffed the puck in the right side of the net.
Rakell chipped in a loose puck on the power play at 8:33 of the first, and he extended the shootout for the Sucks when he beat Pavelec with a backhand in the fourth round. Selanne watched the game from a suite and was often seen smiling. The Jets had leads of 3-1 and 4-2, the latter of which came when Andrew Ladd converted a 2-on-1 with Blake Wheeler at 17:42 of the second period. The Sucks pulled to 4-3 on a power-play goal by Kyle Palmieri at 6:25 of the third. Anaheim chased the game from the start, but got a huge boost killing a two-minute 5-on-3 power play at the end of the second period and beginning of the third. Getzlaf took unsportsmanlike conduct and roughing penalties when he tussled with Dustin Byfuglien after Byfuglien's big hit on Francois Beauchemin. The Jets took a 3-1 lead in the first period on goals by Mark Scheifele, Zach Bogosian and Evander Kane. Two of the goals came on big rebounds, including Scheifele's at 14:36. The Jets lamented not converting the 5-on-3 advantage, the lost lead and the lost point. The big picture of a historic night wasn't lost on them after they came out to watch a portion of the ceremony.
