Blackhawks @ Jets 0-4 - Tuesday, November 15, 2016
Connor Hellebuyck made 27 saves and Patrik Laine scored his NHL-leading 12th goal to help the Winnipeg Jets defeat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-0 at MTS Centre. The Jets (9-7-2) scored three times in the third period, including two goals 11 seconds apart. Josh Morrissey scored his first NHL goal, and Nic Petan and Chris Thorburn each scored his first of the season. The Blackhawks (11-4-2) lost for the first time in regulation in 12 games. They were 9-0-2 since Oct. 22.
Goalie Corey Crawford was pulled for Scott Darling after allowing four goals on 22 shots. Crawford was 7-0-2 in his previous nine starts.
* Hellebuyck made a right-pad save on defenseman Brent Seabrook with the Blackhawks on a 5-on-3 power play in the second period, keeping the Jets' 1-0 lead intact.
* Morrissey scored his first NHL goal with a one-timer past Crawford.
* The Jets have a point in five straight games, a season high. … Winnipeg is 6-0-0 when leading after two periods. … Keith played his 850th NHL game.
* Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba blocked a shot from Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith with his neck in the second period.
"It's a little sore, but no worse than any other puck that's hit me," Trouba said.
"I wouldn't even say he was off. We got a one-goal game in the third period and we're right in it, so that's where we're at. And he gives us a chance every single night, so there's no blame. That was a team loss."
"I think [Hinoztraza's] going to be all right. We'll know more tomorrow." Joel Quenneville said
"I thought we played a good game. It was a tough few minutes, just [the puck] kind of going in off everything, finding its way through. I mean, that happens in games. We've put together a good string of games, solid hockey. We played good tonight. They didn't really have much. Like I said, it was a tough few minutes, but we can forget about that one for sure." Crawford said.

Jets @ Philadelphia Flyers 2-5 - Thursday, November 17, 2016
The Philadelphia Flyers think the Steve Mason of last season finally has arrived this season. Mason made 30 saves in a 5-2 win against the Winnipeg Jets at Wells Fargo Center. Sean Couturier and Michael Raffl scored 34 seconds apart in the first period for Philadelphia (8-7-3), and Mark Streit, Wayne Simmonds and Brandon Manning also scored. Dustin Byfuglien and Blake Wheeler scored for Winnipeg (9-8-2), which lost in regulation for the first time in six games, and Connor Hellebuyck made 17 saves. The Flyers are 2-0-1 in their past three games, and Mason is a big reason. Since replacing an injured Michal Neuvirth to start the second period of their game against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday, he's allowed five goals on 78 shots (.936 save percentage). In his first 10 games, he was 2-5-2 with a 3.56 goals-against average and .874 save percentage. Mason was at his best during the second and third period. He got a piece of Nikolaj Ehlers' breakaway at 7:25 of the second with the Flyers leading 2-1. Early in the third period, with Philadelphia defending a 3-2 lead, he made two big saves, stopping Mark Scheifele on a wrist shot from the right side at 2:53 before a glove save on Ehlers at 5:04. Simmonds scored his ninth goal at 5:46 of the third to put the Flyers ahead 4-2. The Flyers scored on their first two shots of the game, with Couturier taking advantage of a Jets defensive-zone turnover at 9:13, and then Raffl finishing a 2-on-1 rush with Matt Read at 9:47.
Byfuglien scored his first goal of the season, at 6:57 of the second, to make it 2-1, but Streit's point shot at 12:58 of the second glanced off Hellebuyck's glove and into the net to make it 3-1. Wheeler finished a nice passing play with Ehlers and Scheifele to get the Jets within 3-2 at 17:19 of the second. Winnipeg entered Thursday leading the NHL with 25 third-period goals but scored none against Philadelphia, which got two of its own and key saves from Mason when needed.
* Jacob Trouba made a long diagonal pass from the Jets blue line to Scheifele just outside the Flyers blue line. Scheifele entered the zone and made a seam pass to Ehlers, who sent it back to Wheeler through the slot for an easy tap-in with 2:41 left in the second period.
* Read beat Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey to the puck on the 2-on-1 with Raffl and dove to make the pass that set up the goal at 9:47 of the first period.
* Scheifele's assist on Wheeler's goal was his 199th in the NHL. He has 22 points, tied with Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning for the League lead. … Jets forward Chris Thorburn played in his 700th NHL game. … Flyers forward Travis Konecny played two shifts in the third period totaling 1:26.
"Most of our good offense was going over the net, beside the net. We missed the net on a bunch of really good chances. … I just felt we left some offense on the table, some pucks we could have moved better." The Jets outshot the Flyers 32-22, but it was the 17 missed shots that coach Paul Maurice said was the difference.

Scheifele entered the zone and made a seam pass to Ehlers, who sent it back to Wheeler through the slot for an easy tap-in with 2:41 left in the second period.
* Mason got just enough of Ehlers' breakaway wrist shot with his right arm at 7:25 of the second period to direct it wide of the net. Ehlers took the puck from Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov at the Jets blue line, broke in alone on Mason, and faked a slap shot before shooting from between the hash marks.
* Mason got stuck behind the net when he got tangled with Jets forward Brandon Tanev while attempting to play a dump-in. Tanev had a chance to stuff the puck into an open net, but Manning dove into the crease for a stick save.

Jets Quotes
Matt Beleskey, Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron each scored in a three-goal second period when the Boston Bruins defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 at TD Garden. Boston (11-7-0) outshot Winnipeg 38-12 and won for the fourth time in its past five games and third straight time at home. Goaltender Tuukka Rask made 11 saves, and the Bruins set a season-low for shots allowed. Boston forward Tim Schaller scored in the third period and defenseman Zdeno Chara had two assists. Winnipeg goaltender Michael Hutchinson made 34 saves in his first start since Nov. 11, and forward Adam Lowry scored in the third period. The Jets (9-9-2), who set a season-low for shots on goal, have lost the first two games of their season-long five-game road trip. The Bruins outshot the Jets 14-4 in the first period but didn't score until the second period. A timely pinch down the left wall by Joe Morrow set up the first goal. After Morrow skated around Winnipeg forward Patrik Laine toward the goal line, Morrow passed the puck back toward the middle. Beleskey was at the left hash mark for a one-timer that beat Hutchinson at 2:01 for a 1-0 lead. Marchand scored on a breakaway at 11:37 for his first goal in six games to make it 2-0. Bergeron's first goal in seven games, a one-timer from the bottom of the left circle during a 5-on-3 power play at 17:00, extended the lead to 3-0. Bruins coach Claude Julien was pleased Marchand and Bergeron were able to end goal droughts.
Schaller beat Hutchinson to the short side at 1:41 for a 4-0 lead. Lowry scored from in front of the Boston net at 17:20 to cut the lead to 4-1.
* Marchand took Chara's indirect pass in the neutral zone and broke in on Hutchinson from the left wall before beating the goaltender with a backhand shot. Marchand had to fight off Hutchinson's stick check to score.
"There isn't a piece of that game that we were good at. If we have to sit here today and get a silver lining: If you're going to be bad, you might as well be bad in all parts of your game so you can write that one off."
"I didn't see it coming. I couldn't make enough adjustments to make a change, couldn't hide people on the ice to keep them off the minus sheet. I'm not looking at that room. I'm looking at what I did to get them ready. It obviously wasn't enough." Paul Maurice
