Dinamo Riga v Dinamo Minsk 3-5Dinamo Minsk edged into the play-off places with a win against its namesake from Riga. Andrei Stepanov led the way with the opening two goals, both assisted by Alexei Kalyuzhny, as the Belarusians took control early on. But the middle session saw Riga hit back: Mikelis Redlihs and Tim Sestito tied the scores before Ryan Vesce put the visitor back in front in the 37th minute. Matt Ellision got his 20th goal of the season to make it 4-2 early in the third and Kalyuzhny added an empty net strike after Gunars Skvorcovs pulled one back for Riga.

Jokerit v Medvescak 4-1Jokerit wrapped up its home calendar for 2015 with a comfortable victory over Medvescak. Juhamatti Aaltonen opened the scoring early on and from that point on the visitor was always chasing the game. Despite Medvescak out-shooting Jokerit, though, goalie Henrik Karlsson was able to keep the Croatians at arm’s length. Jokerit doubled its lead late in the second thanks to Jani Rita’s neat spin-o-rama finish. Patrick Bjorkstrand did get one back for Medvescak in the 39 minute but there was to be no revival. The third period saw Jere Sallinen add a goal to his two assists before Topi Jaakola scored into an empty net to complete the scoring.
