Anaheim @ NY Rangers 2-3 OT

Mats Zuccarello's power-play goal in overtime not only gave the Rangers a 3-2 win. Zuccarello scored off a one-timer from the right circle. Dan Boyle delivered the cross-ice pass to set him up after the Rangers sustained possession in the offensive zone with Cam Fowler in the box for holding Ryan McDonagh. Rickard Rakell forced overtime by scoring his seventh goal of the season at 17:06 of the third period, but Anaheim fell to 0-5 in the extra period. Rakell's goal at least helped the Ducks salvage one point, but it didn't erase the feelings coach Bruce Boudreau had about how Brassard scored his two goals in regulation, which came off preventable defensive zone turnovers. Brassard tied the game at 1-1 at 17:50 of the first period after he intercepted Josh Manson's pass. He quickly shot from the left hash marks and beat Ducks goalie John Gibson on the far side. Brassard's second goal, which gave New York a 2-1 lead at 2:44 of the third period, came after Zuccarello intercepted Jiri Sekac's errant pass. Zuccarello moved the puck across to Brassard for a one-timer that he ripped past Gibson. Rakell at least gave the Ducks some life with his goal, which came off of a strong breakout that led to a tape-to-tape diagonal pass from captain Ryan Getzlaf to Rakell. He used McDonagh as a screen, and his shot hit McDonagh's stick before going past Lundqvist. But the Ducks weren't able to do anything with the momentum they should have generated from the goal. Fowler hauled down McDonagh in overtime, setting up the Rangers' 4-on-3 power play that ended with Zuccarello's goal.

New Jersey @ Detroit 4-3

New Jersey took a 3-0 lead in a span of 2:12 in the first period. Palmieri made it 1-0 with 7:55 left when he backhanded in a carom off the end boards that came through the crease; his 14th goal tied his NHL career high, set with the Anaheim Ducks in each of the past two seasons. Tootoo, a former Red Wings player, tipped in Andy Greene's shot 42 seconds later for his third goal. Schlemko made it 3-0 with 5:43 left when he scored from inside the right circle. Schlemko's third goal sent Howard to the bench. Larkin's first NHL power-play goal, with 1:28 left in the period, made it 3-1. He beat Schneider with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle for his 13th goal, which leads NHL rookies. Green's power-play goal pulled the Red Wings within 3-2 with 7:29 left in the second period. His slap shot from the top part of the left circle was his second goal.
Kalinin scored on a rebound 2:23 into the third period to give the Devils a 4-2 lead. His fifth goal was the result of a turnover by Detroit defenseman Jakub Kindl. Sheahan made it 4-3 with 5:37 left in the third period. He scored his fourth goal on a wrist shot from the left circle off the rush.

Vancouver @ Tampa Bay 2-1

Daniel Sedin scored with 8:51 remaining to lift the Canucks to a 2-1 win. Sedin's 16th goal came on a shot from the right circle that beat Bishop high on the glove side. Henrik Sedin, who returned to the lineup after missing two games with a lower-body injury, had the assist. Baertschi scored the first goal of the game at 15:57 of the first period. After Bishop made a save on Alex Biega's wrist shot, Radim Vrbata chipped the puck to the net front from just below the right faceoff circle, and Baertschi shot it into the open side of the net. Marchessault's power-play goal with 22 seconds left in the second period tied it 1-1. Nikita Kucherov took the puck off the faceoff, went behind the net and found Marchessault in the slot for a one-timer to the near post for his fifth goal.

Ottawa @ Florida 1-2 SO

After Brandon Pirri scored to start the shootout, Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo stopped Mika Zibanejad and Kyle Turris before Barkov ended the game with a quick shot that beat Craig Anderson to the stick side. Each team had a great chance in overtime. Jussi Jokinen had a breakaway but Anderson made a blocker save. Erik Karlsson later came in alone but Luongo made a pad save on his low shot. Mark Stone scored on the power play for the Senators, who have lost six of their past nine games. Florida led 1-0 before Stone tied it at 1:31 of the third period. He was credited with his eighth goal of the season when Karlsson's wrist shot from the point bounced off him and past Luongo. Knight broke a scoreless tie at 9:14 of the second period when he stickhandled in traffic between the circles, then flicked a quick shot that beat Anderson to the stick side.

Toronto @ Phoenix 2-3

Cheap shot Shane Doan scored his first goal seven seconds after James van Riemsdyk had given the Maple Leafs a 1-0 lead with a little less than five minutes left in the first period. The three goals in 21 seconds were the three fastest in a game in Maple Leafs history. After Michael Stone was called for an illegal check to the head against Kadri, the red-hot Toronto power play opened the scoring. Dion Phaneuf set up van Riemsdyk for a wrist shot from the left circle that beat Domingue to the far post at 15:09 for his 12th goal of the season and fifth in the past six games. Off the ensuing faceoff, Stefan Elliott's dump-in took a strange bounce off the back boards, and the puck rolled on its end into the slot. Doan was all alone on the forecheck and backhanded it over Bernier, off the crossbar and into the net at 15:16. Kyle Chipchura set up Doan for a wrist shot that beat Bernier but hit the far post. The puck bounced into the crease, hit Bernier in the back and rolled to the near post. Doan dived and stuffed it home at 15:30 to make it 2-1. Then, with 5.7 seconds left, Grabner was awarded a penalty shot after Oliver Ekman-Larsson took him down to prevent another shorthanded breakaway. Domingue made a stick save on Grabner's wrist shot headed between the pads. A few minutes after an apparent Shawn Matthias goal was wiped out because he interfered with Domingue, the Maple Leafs tied the game with an aggressive shift. Tyler Bozak circled behind the net and flipped a centering pass that deflected off Murphy's skate and floated across the crease. Kadri adjusted to the direction change and slapped the puck out of the air and past Domingue at 14:00 for his sixth goal and fifth point in the past four games. Murphy's game-winner, which he scored with a slap shot from the right point with Max Domi creating traffic in front of Bernier.
