Vancouver Canucks @ Winnipeg 1-4
Mark Scheifele and Drew Stafford each had two goals and an assist to help the Winnipeg Jets end a six-game losing streak with a 4-1 win against the Vancouver Canucks at MTS Centre. The Jets won for the first time since Nov. 5 after returning home from a stretch of eight of nine games on the road.
Maurice put Scheifele and Stafford on a new line with Mathieu Perreault, who had three assists. Winnipeg goaltender Ondrej Pavelec made 29 saves.
Daniel Sedin scored for the Canucks, who have lost four consecutive games and went 1-4-2 on a season-high seven-game road trip.
Scheifele scored on the power play to put Winnipeg ahead 1-0 at 5:55 of the first period. Sedin tied it with a power-play goal 6:44 into the second period.
Stafford's first goal in 12 games gave the Jets a 2-1 lead with 2:31 left in the second. Scheifele scored his second goal of the game and seventh of the season with 2:45 left in the third period before Stafford's empty-net goal with 1:34 to go finished the scoring.
The Jets were 1-for-29 on the power play over the previous eight games before Scheifele's first-period goal. A loose puck bounced into the left circle, where he sent a snap shot on net before Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller could scramble into position. The goal ended Scheifele's six-game goal drought.
With Toby Enstrom off for interference, Henrik Sedin worked the puck to Burrows at the edge of the Winnipeg net. Pavelec could not control Burrows' shot, and Daniel Sedin put the rebound past Pavelec at 6:44 for his seventh goal of the season and the 899th point of his NHL career. After a slow start to the second period, the Jets put on a late push to retake the lead. Miller stopped Chris Thorburn's point-blank chance in the slot, but Stafford backhanded his own rebound over Miller's right blocker a little more than a minute later for his first goal since he scored two Oct. 25 against the Minnesota Wild. Scheifele got his first two-goal game since Dec. 16, 2014, against the Buffalo Sabres with a backhanded shot at the edge of Miller's crease. Though Scheifele and Stafford have not produced offensively during a rough start to November for the Jets, Maurice said that he has liked their play. The confidence issue has been a major talking point for the Jets, who need a strong homestand to mitigate some of the damage resulting from their just-completed 0-4-0 Central Division road trip.

Paul Maurice: "It put us back in a positive frame of mind coming home. I think [the power play goal helped]. They [were] feeling it. Just getting one to go for [Scheifele helped]. Mark has played well through this whole stretch. Really, I've liked his game. [Stafford] has handled the past 10 games about as well as you can ask a pro. It's good karma. He earned having [this] night."
Drew Stafford: "It's definitely a relief. There are ebbs and flows in this game. There are times when things aren't going to go your way. It's just the nature of the business. Stick with it and sooner or later things will turn around."
Mark Scheifele: "To be at home and get a win, it was a big game for us. I thought we played a solid 60-minute game."
Ondrej Pavelec: "It was a good win for us. It has been kind of a long time, and it's great to get that feeling again. It's all about confidence. We've got the skill. We've got the players. We know we can play really well and know we can beat everybody, but it was just a matter of confidence. We didn't have that the past few games."

Chicago @ Edmonton Oilers
Goaltender Corey Crawford made an outstanding save in overtime to help the Chicago Blackhawks start their annual "Circus Trip" with a win. Crawford snatched Taylor Hall's shot with his glove 29 seconds into the extra period for the biggest of his 34 saves, and Marian Hossa beat Edmonton Oilers goalie Anders Nilsson on a breakaway off a long pass from defenseman Brent Seabrook 39 seconds later to give Chicago a 4-3 victory at Rexall Place. Duncan Keith, Artemi Panarin and Andrew Shaw scored in regulation for Chicago, which squandered a 2-0 second-period lead and carried a 3-2 deep into the third period. Crawford made sure the Blackhawks left Edmonton with two points.
Patrick Kane had two assists to extend his point streak to 14 games, matching his career high. Panarin's goal and two assists extended his point streak to six games (five goals, five assists). His seven goals and 21 points lead all rookies.
Jordan Eberle, Benoit Pouliot and Leon Draisaitl scored for the Oilers, who have lost three straight (0-2-1) and five of six. Nilsson made 23 saves. Draisaitl tied the game 3-3 with 2:46 left in the third, taking a pass from Hall at the side of the net and firing a sharp-angled shot over Crawford. It was Draisaitl's sixth goal in nine games this season. Crawford denied Edmonton the result it wanted Wednesday when he slid across to make the sprawling glove save on Hall's one-timer on a 2-on-1 rush.
It was the first of a season-high six-game road trip for the Blackhawks with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at United Center. Chicago will visit the Calgary Flames on Friday. Keith opened the scoring at 7:26 of the second period, 17 seconds after Oilers defenseman Griffin Reinhart was penalized for boarding. The Keith redirected a pass from Kane in the slot past Nilsson. Panarin gave Chicago a 2-0 lead at 14:41 of the second. The rookie forward got to a bouncing puck at the side of the net and fired it through Nilsson. Eberle scored for Edmonton at 16:37 of the second on a breakaway to cut Chicago's lead to 2-1. The Oilers right wing took a pass from defenseman Brandon Davidson and lifted a shot over Crawford's shoulder. Pouliot tied the game 2-2 at 4:00 of the third period on a set-up from Darnell Nurse. Shaw put Chicago up 3-2 at 11:44, winning a battle with Davidson in front to lift a shot over Nilsson. The Oilers had one shot in overtime. They were then caught on a line change on Hossa's goal.

Marian Hossa: "[Crawford's save on Hall] obviously kept us in the game. That was an unbelievable save, a highlight save. That's why we won the game. Even though the game was almost over with a few minutes left, that kind of save gives a boost to the bench, and when you are up on the next shift, that definitely gives you an extra boost."
Joel Quenneville: "That was a great save. It was a great push [across], great anticipation by [Crawford], and it got us an extra point. It was good to get a win starting this trip, but give them credit, they were all over us in the first period, and we got it going a little bit in the second, but that might have been the only stretch where we liked how we were playing."
Corey Crawford: "[Draisaitl] came up and he had a good chance to shoot. I just had to challenge him, and he fed it across pretty quick and I didn't really have time to slide over, so I was reaching out and I was trying to read where it was going."
