Toronto @ Boston 0-2
Zdeno Chara scored at 16:17 of the third period in a 2-0 win. The odiuous Brad Marchand scored an empty-net goal for the Bruins. Boston has won consecutive home games for the first time this season. The Bruins outshot Toronto 37-22 and 19 of those shots came from defensemen, and most of them were from the perimeter until the game-winning goal. Matt Beleskey won a battle along the right boards and passed the puck back to Zach Trotman, who sent it to Chara at the top of the left circle. Chara took a couple of strides before he put a slap shot past Toronto goaltender James Reimer. Shawn Matthias had probably the best scoring chance of the first period at 11:15. After Colin Miller fell in the neutral zone trying to play a puck, Matthias skated into the Boston zone on a breakaway but couldn't shoot the puck past Rask's right pad. Matthias got another breakaway early in the second period but he was denied by Rask's glove. During a penalty kill early in the third period, Matthias skated 1-on-1 against David Krejci before Rask poke-checked the puck away.

Philadelphia @ Ottawa 0-4

Mika Zibanejad, Mike Hoffman, Milan Michalek and Kyle Turris scored for the Senators in what was a physical encounter. The Flyers have always gooned things up in games, but it was Senators Dirty Dog Chris Neil who was ejected after instigating a fight with Brandon Manning. Zibanejad scored his first goal in 12 games when he tipped a shot by defenseman Cody Ceci past Mason with 44 seconds left in the first period after the Senators won a faceoff in the Flyers zone. The Flyers gave up a 2-on-1 goal at 1:22 of the second period when Ryan tipped the puck by Michael Del Zotto and set up Hoffman for his sixth of the season. Michalek made a good play to poke the puck by Luke Schenn and earned some room to skate in on Mason. His fourth goal made it 3-0 at 17:25 of the second period. Turris scored his 10th goal at 1:36 of the third period just as a penalty to Radko Gudas expired.

Anaheim @ Tampa Bay 0-5
Steven Stamkos scored his first goal at 12:35 of the second period to give the Lightning a 2-0 lead. He took a pass from Ryan Callahan near the red line, skated into the Anaheim zone and sent a wrist shot past Andersen high on the stick side. The Lightning took a 3-0 lead when Stamkos scored his 11th goal at 13:49 of the second. With Andrew Cogliano off for tripping, Kucherov carried the puck into the slot and forced Andersen to commit before passing to Stamkos, who buried a one-timer into the open net. Kucherov's sixth goal opened the scoring at 5:57 of the second period. He was the beneficiary of a shot that was mishit by Andrej Sustr. Andersen committed to the save on Sustr's shot from the right faceoff dot, but the puck instead slid to Kucherov at the top of the crease for an easy goal past Andersen's outstretched right pad. Joel Vermin had an assist on Kucherov's goal for the first point of his NHL career in his second game. Boyle scored on a one-timer off a J.T. Brown pass from behind the net at 5:29 of the third period for a 4-0 Tampa Bay lead. Marchessault scored on a power play at 10:01 in the third period to complete the scoring. It was his first goal of the season. Anaheim's best scoring chance came midway through the second period when Kelser clearly beat Bishop with a low wrist shot, but it hit the post. Patrick Maroon also had a one-timer that hit high off the post in the first period.
NY Rangers @ Florida 5-4 OT
Rick Nash scored his third goal of the game on the power play at 2:01 of overtime and the Rangers withstood a late Florida rally to win 5-4 at BB&T Center. With Florida serving a bench minor for too many men on the ice, Nash beat Roberto Luongo with a wrist shot from the right circle. New York led 4-2 before Florida got late goals from Aleksander Barkov and Jaromir Jagr in a 39-second span with Luongo pulled for an extra attacker each time. Barkov scored with 2:28 remaining in the third period and Jagr fired home a wrist shot with 1:49 to play. Jagr's 730th career goal moved him one behind Marcel Dionne for fourth place on the NHL's all-time list. Reilly Smith was awarded a penalty shot seven seconds after Jagr's tying goal when he was tripped by Rangers defenseman Dan Boyle on a breakaway, but Lundqvist got a piece of his shot after being deked to the ice. Chris Kreider was stopped on a penalty shot 6:15 into the game. He became the first player in team history with a penalty shot in consecutive games after also failing to score against Tampa Bay on Thursday.
The game was tied 2-2 after two periods, as Nash twice gave the Rangers the lead before the Panthers answered. Zuccarello made it 3-2 at 10:10 of the third period, scoring his 10th goal of the season on a breakaway after Derek Stepan intercepted a pass in midair in his own zone and hit Zuccarello in stride at the Florida blue line. Zuccarello beat Luongo with a backhand-to-forehand deke.

Stalberg made it 4-2 at 12:14 when he took a pass from Oscar Lindberg in the slot and beat Luongo with a low shot to the glove side. Barkov scored on the power play when he put home a rebound from close range, and Jagr tied the game with a wrist shot over Lundqvist's glove. Nash opened the scoring 11:08 into the game, taking a pass from Ryan McDonagh and flipping the puck past Luongo. Florida tied it at 6:46 of the second after some good forechecking kept the puck deep in the Rangers' zone when Bjugstad redirected a pass from Pirri between Lundqvist's legs. The Rangers regained the lead at 13:22 when Nash grabbed a loose puck in the defensive zone, skated down left wing, fought off a checking attempt by Bjugstad and beat Luongo with a short-range shot to the short side. Jokinen tied it at 17:57 with a power-play goal when he tipped Pirri's slap shot from the top of the right circle. Florida came in tied with the Boston Bruins for most power-play goals at home with 11.
