NY Rangers @ Boston 3-4
Ryan Spooner and David Krejci scored in a span of 2:03 late in the third period to help the Bruins rally for a 4-3 win. After a holding penalty on Jesper Fast, Spooner tied the game 3-3 with 3:46 remaining, from the right of the slot after a pass from Loui Eriksson. Krejci gave the Bruins a 4-3 lead with 1:43 left with a slap shot from the blue line that went off Emerson Etem's stick out high and beat goalie Henrik Lundqvist. Bergeron gave the Bruins 1-0 lead at 14:15 of the first period. He won a faceoff against Lindberg in the right circle and Torey Krug took a shot from the right point. Lindberg blocked the shot, but the puck went right to Bergeron for a one-timer that beat Lundqvist. Lindberg tied the score 1-1 with a wrist shot from the right hash mark that beat Rask at 2:10 of the second. Then, after Ryan McDonagh stole Connolly's clearing attempt at the left point, he found Nash in front for a shot that put New York ahead 2-1 at 5:15. Connolly scored the Bruins' game-tying power play later in the period. Rangers defenseman Dylan McIlrath got an instigator penalty to go along with a fighting major and 10-minute misconduct after Stepan was hit by Beleskey. Stepan skated to the dressing room and did not miss a shift in the period but didn't return for the third. On the power play, Connolly beat Lundqvist with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle to tie the score 2-2 at 9:34. Miller's tip of a Keith Yandle shot gave the Rangers a 3-2 lead at 9:28 of the third period. The puck went off Rask, then the right post and off Rask's back before settling in behind the goal line.

Tampa Bay @ Washington 2-4
Jason Chimera's speed, ability to screen and playmaking abilities in front of the net, coupled with not really being on the radar of the other team, has added to his effectiveness. He's scored three power-play goals in the eight games, more than his NHL season-high of two; he also has two man-advantage assists.
Ovechkin scored on a power play at 7:09 of the first period, giving the Capitals a 1-0 lead. Chimera passed below the goal line to Ovechkin, who sent the puck top corner from his usual spot in the left circle, beating Vasilevskiy on his glove side for his 12th of the season. Ovechkin has five points in his past five games.
Washington's 18 shots on goal in the first period were a season-high for shots in a period. Chimera scored his sixth goal of the season at 18:03 of the second period. On a power play, Evgeny Kuznetsov's slap pass met Chimera in the paint and he tipped it in, putting the Capitals up 2-0. Johansson's goal gave Washington a 3-0 lead with 42 seconds remaining in the second. John Carlson's cross-ice pass hit Johansson's skate and deflected in past Vasilevskiy. The goal broke a 10-game drought for Johansson and was his fourth of the season. Oshie's power-play goal at 5:16 of the third period extended Washington's lead to 4-0. Backstrom carried the puck into the zone and Oshie scored with a wrist shot from the high slot. It was Oshie's first power-play goal since Oct. 17 and his first goal in eight games. Boyle scored his fifth goal of the season at 10:49 of the third period, making it 4-1. Boyle picked up Ryan Callahan's pass in the circle and his shot skipped past Holtby's glove. Hedman scored at 11:55 to make it 4-2. His second goal of the season was a slap shot from the slot. Brooks Orpik missed an eighth consecutive game with a lower-body injury, John Carlson skated in his 400th consecutive NHL game, and Barry Trotz coached his 1,300th NHL game.

Carolina @ Buffalo 1-4
Josh Gorges gave the Sabres a 1-0 lead 8:57 into the first period with his first goal in 130 games. He took a shot from the blue line that bounced off the ice and skipped past Ward. Victor Rask tied it 4:59 into the second period with his seventh goal. After Elias Lindholm picked up a turnover from Gionta and took a wrist shot, Eric Staal followed with a shot that rebounded to Rask, who put the puck past Sabres goalie Chad Johnson. Jack Eichel gave Buffalo a 2-1 lead with 7:36 left in the second period. Eichel picked up a loose puck in the neutral zone, carried the puck across the blue line and took a wrist shot that beat Carolina goalie Cam Ward over his right shoulder. Jaccob Slavin made a pass through center ice that Jordan Staal was unable to control. Eichel grabbed the loose puck and skated up the right wing before he picked the corner on Ward.
Eichel's eighth goal came eight seconds after the Sabres killed an interference penalty against defenseman Zach Bogosian. At the time of Bogosian's penalty, the Hurricanes were outshooting the Sabres 21-9. Carolina had two shots blocked on the power play before Buffalo killed it. Captain Brian Gionta gave the Sabres a 3-1 lead with 22.5 seconds left in the second when he tipped a pass from Matt Moulson past Ward for his second goal of the season. David Legwand made it 4-1 with his second goal of the season 6:36 into the third period. He received a pass from behind the net by Jamie McGinn and took a wrist shot that got past Lack.

Montreal @ New Jersey 3-2 SO

Sven Andrighetto scored in the fifth round of the shootout to give the Canadiens a 3-2 victory. Mike Condon stopped Patrik Elias with his right pad after Andrighetto's shootout goal to clinch the victory. Lee Stempniak hit the post in the bottom of the third round of the shootout. Devils goalie Cory Schneider made 25 saves and allowed a shootout goal to Galchenyuk in the first round. Schneider said after the game that Galchenyuk's shootout shot hit the crossbar and then him before going into the net.
Adam Henrique extended his goal streak to three games when he finished a give-and-go with John Moore with a tip at the right post 1:09 into the second period. Lee Stempniak scored a power-play goal to give the Devils a 2-0 lead 9:06 into the second. With Subban serving a tripping penalty, Elias feathered a pass to Mike Cammalleri, who found Stempniak in the slot. The first attempt was blocked by Condon before Stempniak jammed in the rebound. Andrighetto made it 2-1 15:17 into the second period off a shot from the right circle that beat Schneider to the short side. Galchenyuk tied it 2-2 11:14 into the third period when he split Devils defensemen Andy Greene and Adam Larsson before breaking in on Schneider and scoring off his backhand. Galchenyuk, who has been centering the third line between Andrighetto and Lars Eller of late, scored his breakaway goal skating with Max Pacioretty and Tomas Plekanec.
Canadiens right wing Bud Holloway made his NHL debut and replaced Alexander Semin (lower body) in the lineup, playing on the fourth line with Brian Flynn and Paul Byron. Right wing Tyler Kennedy, who earlier in the day signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Devils, made his debut with New Jersey on the fourth line with Bobby Farnham and Stephen Gionta. Kennedy played 6:51 and took one shot on goal.

Edmonton @ Detroit 3-4 OT

Niklas Kronwall scored 26 seconds into overtime to give the Red Wings a 4-3 win at Joe Louis Arena. Kronwall scored his first goal of the season from the right circle, converting a pass from Dylan Larkin on a 2-on-1. Edmonton goalie Cam Talbot said he was partially screened by defenseman Oscar Klefbom. The goal came a few seconds after Kronwall lost the puck to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins in front of the Detroit net, but Nugent-Hopkins fell and lost control. Iiro Pakarinen capitalized on a giveaway by Darren Helm in his zone to tie the game 3-3 with his second goal of the game 8:45 into the third period. The shot from the right circle that deflected off Howard's glove on the short side was Pakarinen's third goal of the season. The Red Wings led 3-2 after five goals were scored in the second period. Detroit took the lead on Larkin's goal with 36 seconds left.

He got a backhand pass from Henrik Zetterberg, cut in off the left wing and put a backhand past Talbot as he crossed the top of the crease. Nyquist gave Detroit a 1-0 lead at 5:11 when he put in a rebound off a goal-mouth scramble. The Oilers challenged the goal to review if Mike Green interfered with Talbot as he skated through the crease after taking the original shot. Tatar made it 2-0 with 7:53 left on a shot from inside the right circle. Pakarinen made it 2-1 with 4:43 left on a one-timer from the inside edge of the left circle. Sekera's power-play goal with 3:14 left in the period tied it; his second goal of the season came on a one-time slap shot from the high slot.

NY Islanders @ Florida 2-3 SO

Aleksander Barkov scored the deciding goal in a shoot-out, with a deke to the backhand after the teams traded goals in each of the first four rounds of the shootout. The nine straight goals indeed were the most to open a shootout since the tiebreaker was introduced in the 2005-06 season. Florida goalie Roberto Luongo made a pad save on Brock Nelson's wrist shot in the bottom of the fifth round to end the game. Brandon Pirri, Vincent Trocheck, Nick Bjugstad and Jonathan Huberdeau scored in the shootout for the Panthers, with Frans Nielsen, Kyle Okposo, John Tavares and Josh Bailey answering for the Islanders. The Islanders had a power play for the first 35 seconds of overtime, and the Panthers' Connor Brickley had a breakaway when he grabbed a loose puck after coming out of the box for the too many men on the ice penalty. Luongo made 23 saves and passed Glenn Hall for eighth place on the NHL's all-time list with his 408th career victory. Luongo made a spectacular save with 1:29 left to keep the score 2-2 when he got his arm on Nelson's redirect in front of the net. Jaromir Jagr, who did not return after leaving the game at 8:39 of the third period, remained one goal behind Marcel Dionne for fourth place on the NHL's all-time list for goals with 731, but he had an assist for his Panthers-leading 18th point. He has a goal and four assists during a five-game point streak. Florida led 2-0 heading into the third period before New York tied the game with two goals in 3:03. Strome made it 2-1 at 5:36 with a wrist shot over Luongo's glove from the right dot after getting a pass from Mikhail Grabovski. Bailey tied it at 8:39 with a shot from the slot that bounced in off the stick of Pirri. A day after recalling Brickley and Logan Shaw from Portland of the AHL and sending down Rocco Grimaldi and Garrett Wilson, the Panthers shuffled their top two lines by putting Pirri with Jagr and Barkov. The move paid off when Pirri opened the scoring at 8:38 of the first period. Pirri skated into the Islanders zone before circling while the Panthers were going through a line change. He then skated to the top of the right circle before firing a wrist shot that went off Grabovski's stick and floated over Halak's left shoulder. Jokinen made it 2-0 at 4:42 of the second period right off a faceoff in the Islanders zone. Trocheck pushed the puck forward and tried to slide a pass across the crease to Jokinen, but it was stopped by an Islanders defender. Trocheck grabbed the puck again, and while falling to the ice, he passed it around the net to Jokinen, who redirected it into the open net.

Calgary @ Phoenix 1-2 OT

Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored with 39.9 seconds left in overtime, allowing  Phoenix to escape with a win despite giving Calgary six power plays and putting 18 shots on goal in regulation. With Calgary's three skaters exhausted after getting stuck on the ice for a long shift, Brad Richardson found Ekman-Larsson from behind the Flames net for the winner on a one-timer from the slot. Mark Giordano scored Calgary's goal on the power play in the second period. But the Flames, who entered Saturday ranked 29th in the NHL on the power play, failed on five other chances with the man-advantage. After a scoreless first period, the Coyotes struck 29 seconds into the second period. Hanzal set up Tobias Rieder for a sharp-angled shot that struck the far post. The puck bounced out toward Hanzal and Calgary's Jiri Hudler, who were battling near the crease, and it ricocheted off Hanzal's skate and into the open side of the net. After taking two penalties on the first period, the Coyotes took two more in the second, and the Flames finally cashed in on their fourth power play, ending a streak of 16 failed man-advantage opportunities. Hudler's shot from the right circle deflected off the sticks of Johnny Gaudreau and Connor Murphy before going to Giordano just outside the crease. Giordano swept his fifth goal between Smith's pads at 16:40 to tie it 1-1.
