Detroit @ Buffalo 3-0

Rookie forward Dylan Larkin’s 15th goal of the season came with 7:59 left in the third period when he received a pass from Glendening and took a wrist shot from the side of the net that bounced off the inside of Sabres goalie Robin Lehner’s right leg and into the net. Larkin’s goal came 42 seconds after the Sabres killed a double minor penalty for high sticking by Marcus Foligno, who caught Larkin in the face and bloodied his nose. Henrik Zetterberg made it 2-0 when he scored his ninth goal of the season with 2:51 left in the third period. After a pass from Larkin, Zetterberg was alone in front of the net and made a move, extending his arms to tuck the puck in behind Lehner.

NY Rangers @ Carolina 4-1

Ryan McDonagh's sixth goal of the season gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead at 14:01 of the first period. The defenseman intercepted a pass from John-Michael Liles in the neutral zone and skated to the top of the left circle before beating Eddie Lack over his blocker. The Rangers made it 2-0 when Oscar Lindberg found Keith Yandle alone in the slot at 17:53. Kevin Hayes started the play by taking the puck away from Noah Hanifin, then stickhandling past two more defenders. He passed to Lindberg, who set up Yandle for his third of the season and first against the Hurricanes in 13 games. Joakim Nordstrom made it 2-1 with a one-timer from the slot at 3:29 of the second period. Andrej Nestrasil won a puck battle behind the net then fed a backhand to Nordstrom for a hard shot over Lundqvist's glove. But the Rangers answered with two goals off turnovers.
Derek Stepan forced Justin Faulk into one behind the goal line, freeing the puck for Miller, who scored over Lack's shoulder at 9:41. Miller scored again a little more than two minutes later when he stripped the puck from defenseman Jaccob Slavin in the Carolina zone before deking to his forehand and beating Lack for his 12th of the season. Daniel Paille, signed by New York as a free agent Thursday, played 15:15 in his Rangers debut.

NY Islanders @ Ottawa 5-2

Travis Hamonic was solid in his own zone and broke a 2-2 tie at 2:58 of the third period when he took a pass from Tavares at the right point and beat Senators goaltender Andrew Hammond through traffic. Tavares knocked in a rebound at 7:03 and Okposo bounced a shot into the net off a Senators defender at 14:00. New York dominated the third period, outshooting Ottawa 14-4. Goals by Ryan and Karlsson in the second period gave the Senators a 2-1 lead, but it didn't last long; Clutterbuck tied the game 19 seconds after Karlsson scored at 10:51. Ryan tied the game at 2:05, two seconds after a penalty to Mark Martin for tripping Ryan off the second period's opening faceoff expired.
Karlsson finished off a pass from behind the net by Curtis Lazar for his 10th goal of the season. But a turnover by Max McCormick behind his own net led to Clutterbuck getting the puck in the slot, and he scored his 10th of the season at 11:10. Ottawa needs to improve their penalty-killing, which put them in a hole when Leddy scored to make it 1-0 at 3:49 of the first period with Karlsson in the box for holding Tavares. Leddy's shot from the point found its way through a crowd in front of the net and went past a screened Hammond.
