Vancouver @ Boston 4-2

Daniel Sedin became the Canucks' all-time leader in goals when he scored his first of two 7:03 into the third period. With his 347th NHL goal, all with the Canucks, Sedin broke a tie with Markus Naslund. Sedin stuffed in a rebound of a Chris Tanev shot from the right side of the net. Sedin scored into an empty net with 23 seconds left for No. 348. Sven Baertschi and Alex Burrows scored, and Jacob Markstrom made 28 saves for Vancouver. The Bruins hemmed the Canucks in their end for most of the first three minutes until Tanev kicked the puck ahead to Bo Horvat and Horvat got the puck to Radim Vrbata on his way out of the zone. Horvat then head-manned the puck to Baertschi, who skated in alone on Rask and gave the Canucks a 1-0 lead on their first shot at 3:27. The Canucks outshot the Bruins 12-11 in the second period, but the Bruins' last shot tied the score 1-1. David Pastrnak dished the puck to Hayes cycling in the left circle and his wrist shot from the top of the circle went off Tanev's lower body past Markstrom with 51.7 seconds left. Burrows gave the Canucks a 2-1 lead at 1:49 of the third period. He beat Rask with a one-timer from the right dot.
The Bruins tied it 2-2 after Patrice Bergeron stole the puck at the Vancouver blue line and fed Marchand for a wrist shot from the top of the left circle that beat Markstrom to the glove side at 4:15. Markstrom preserved the 3-2 lead with a quick left-to-right save to deny Loui Eriksson on the doorstep at 11:51.
Sedin, the No. 2 pick in the 1999 NHL Draft, scored his 348 goals in 1,109 games. Prior to the game, the Bruins honored Denna Laing, who was injured playing for the Boston Pride of the National Women's Hockey League in the Outdoor Women's Classic on Dec. 31. A message from Laing and a video to honor her were shown, and her sisters Brianna and Lexie dropped the ceremonial first puck

Linemates Travis Zajac, Joseph Blandisi and Kyle Palmieri combined for four goals and 10 points in the first period to help the New Jersey Devils to a 6-3 victory. Adam Henrique hit the empty net with 17 seconds left for the Devils.

Calgary @ Columbus 4-2

Sergei Bobrovsky left the game with 8:30 remaining in the second period after allowing two goals on 13 shots. He was playing his second game since missing 17 with a groin injury sustained Dec. 8. Sam Bennett’s first goal 4:15 into the second period broke a 1-1 tie. His second goal with 5:32 remaining in the third period gave the Flames a two-goal lead after Johnny Gaudreau scored on a tough-angle shot that put Calgary ahead 3-2 at 1:28. Frolik scored his eighth goal of the season with eight seconds remaining in the first period. He took advantage of a turnover that Dougie Hamilton turned into a shot on goal. Hartnell, who returned from a one-game benching, scored his 16th goal of the season 3:37 into the second period off of a rebound after Seth Jones' shot went over the net, hit the glass and caromed to Hartnell. He tied Boone Jenner and Brandon Saad for the Blue Jackets lead. Dubinsky scored his 10th goal of the season with 2:02 remaining in the second period. Ryan Murray's shot from the blue line was stopped by Ramo, and Dubinsky was there to score off the rebound.
Carolina @ Toronto 1-0 OT

Jordan Staal scored at 2:54 of overtime to give the Hurricanes a 1-0 win. Tyler Bozak had the Maple Leafs' best scoring chance of the game three minutes into the second period when he slithered his way through the defense and took a shot from in tight that Lack turned aside. Staal drove hard to the Toronto net on a Carolina power play and hit the post with his shot from in tight. Toronto recovered the puck and Michael Grabner broke in alone on Lack but shot right at the goalie.
