Vancouver @ New Jersey 3-4 OT
New Jersey got a shorthanded goal by Adam Henrique before a power-play goal by Kyle Palmieri with 1:27 remaining in overtime gave them a 4-3 victory at Prudential Center. Palmieri's fifth goal of the season, off a pass from Mike Cammalleri, came on a shot from the right circle with goalie Ryan Miller out of position. An offensive-zone interference penalty against Dan Hamhuis gave New Jersey the 4-on-3 power play. The Canucks trailed 3-1 in the second period before goals by Edler and Baertschi in a span of 2:09 got them even. Edler scored on a wrist shot from the left circle at 11:57. Baertschi snapped his first of the season past Kinkaid from the left hash at 14:06. Cammalleri gave the Devils a 2-1 lead when he beat Miller with a backhand down the middle at 16:32 of the first period. Lee Stempniak and Cammalleri raced into the Canucks' zone on a 2-on-1 break. Cammalleri took a pass in the high slot, faked Miller and skated around him before scoring his fifth of the season. The Devils took a 3-1 lead at 10:31 of the second period when Sergey Kalinin scored his first NHL goal, a wrist shot from the right faceoff dot that beat Miller. The Canucks opened the scoring when Higgins scored his second of the season on a turnaround from the slot at 2:20. Vancouver had an opportunity to extend the lead when Devils defenseman Damon Severson was whistled for interference at 4:40. Instead, Henrique tied the game when he took a pass from Travis Zajac in the slot and snapped a shot past Miller at 5:18 for his second shorthanded goal of the season and the 11th of his career. The Canucks thought they had pulled even when Jake Virtanen scored on a wraparound attempt with 2:24 left in the first period. However, the goal was disallowed after Devils coach John Hynes successfully challenged the play, claiming that Alexandre Burrows interfered with Kinkaid in the crease. The goal was waved off after a video review.

Boston @ NY Islanders 2-1
Ryan Spooner got the Bruins on the board at 13:00 of the first period during a 5-on-3 power play. Bergeron was in the slot and passed to David Krejci at the left of the net; he sent a touch pass to Spooner in the lower right circle, and Spooner hit the wide-open net for his third goal. Bergeron was credited with his fifth of the season at 14:13 of the second period when his point shot deflected off the skate of Islanders defenseman Nick Leddy and went past Halak. Rask also made a point-blank save on Matt Martin at 7:11 of the third period. The Islanders finally got on the board with 6:18 remaining after Boston's Kevan Miller and Joonas Kemppainen took penalties 14 seconds apart. Boychuk and Kyle Okposo played catch before Boychuk's one-timer from the high slot beat Rask.

Phoenix @ Anaheim 4-3 OT
Max Domi scored twice and Mikkel Boedker scored 1:18 into overtime to lead the Coyotes to a 4-3 win against the Anaheim Sucks. Ryan Getzlaf lost the puck in the neutral zone and Boedker broke away for the goal, ending the Ducks' four-game winning streak and completing the comeback victory. The Ducks held a 2-0 lead by scoring twice in a span of 1:06 in the first period. Chris Stewart tipped in a rebound on the power play at 5:43 and Ryan Kesler was credited with his first goal of the season on a redirection at 6:49. But Anaheim couldn't hold the lead. A sloppy second period allowed the Coyotes to score three goals. It was the same two players that the Ducks struggled to contain in the first game between the teams this season: Domi and Anthony Duclair. Anaheim had gone three games without giving up a power-play goal, but the streak ended when Duclair beat Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen five-hole on a slap shot at 2:44 into the second. Domi scored from the slot at 15:57 to the tie game up and then scored on a sharp-angle wrist shot with eight seconds left in the period to put the Coyotes up 3-2. Sami Vatanen tied the game at 11:43 of the second period, redirecting Andrew Cogliano's shot past Anders Lindback and the game remained tied at 3-3 until Boedker's goal. Getzlaf took responsibility for Boedker's goal. The captain felt that it was an off night for the top line and one broken play resulted in one final blunder.
