Benoit Pouliot scored the game-winning goal with less than three minutes remaining, and the Oilers defeated the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome. Michael Frolik opened the scoring for the Flames in the first period, but Mark Letestu scored 48 seconds later to tie it for the Oilers. Pouliot scored his game-winner at 17:08 of the third period. Justin Schultz scored an empty-net goal with eight seconds left to make it 3-1. Matt Hendricks had two assists for the Oilers. Ben Scrivens made 12 saves on 13 shots for Edmonton; Anders Nilsson made saves on all 17 shots he faced. Joni Ortio made 11 saves on 12 shots for Calgary; Jonas Hiller made 15 saves and allowed one goal.

Connor McDavid has two assists in his professional debut to help the Edmonton Oilers to a win against the Calgary Flames at Rexall Place. The game was tied 1-1 after the first period on goals by the Oilers’ Andrew Miller and the Flames’ Oliver Kylington. Markus Granlund's shorthanded goal gave the Flames a 2-1 lead in the second. McDavid set up Leon Draisaitl on the power play in the third period with 6:25 remaining to tie it 2-2 before Anton Lander's shorthanded goal a minute later gave Edmonton a 3-2 lead. Nail Yakupov then scored an empty-net goal assisted by McDavid. Cam Talbot made 13 saves and allowed one goal in one period for the Oilers. Laurent Brossoit allowed one goal on nine shots in the final two periods. Karri Ramo made 21 saves and allowed a goal for the Flames; Mason McDonald allowed two goals on seven shots.
Oilers @ Phoenix Coyotes 4-0 - Tuesday, September 29, 2015
Anton Lander had a natural hat trick in the Oilers' 4-0 win against the Coyotes at Rexall Place. Anders Nilsson made 11 saves and Ben Scrivens made nine to combine for the shutout. Lander scored his third goal, second on the power play, at 2:11 of the third period to give the Oilers a 3-0 lead. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored the final goal at 15:13. Oilers rookie center Connor McDavid had an assist and four shots on goal in 18:02 of ice time. Anton Slepyshev and Nikita Nikitin each had two assists for Edmonton, which has won all six of its preseason games. Anders Lindback made 28 saves for the Coyotes (0-4-1).

Kings @ Phoenix Coyotes 5-1 - Monday, September 21, 2015
Tyler Toffoli and Nick Shore each scored two goals to lead the Kings past the Coyotes at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, Calif. Jordan Weal and Shore scored power-play goals 21 seconds apart early in the first period to give Los Angeles a 2-0 lead. Toffoli and Shore put the Kings up by four goals when they scored 3:20 apart late in the second. Toffoli's second goal of the game came shorthanded 39 seconds into the third period. Anthony Duclair scored for Phoenix at 4:08 of the third. Toffoli scored again when the teams played in the new 3-on-3 overtime format after the game.
Kings v Phoenix Coyotes 3-2 OT - Tuesday, September 22, 2015
Jordan Weal scored at 3:37 of overtime in the Kings' 3-2 victory against the Coyotes at Staples Center. Weal and Brian O'Neill each had a goal and an assist for Los Angeles; Michael Mersch scored in the first period. Dylan Strome scored in the first period, and Jordan Martinook had a shorthanded goal for the Coyotes midway through the third. Kings goalie Jhonas Enroth allowed one goal on eight shots before being relieved by Peter Budaj, who made 10 saves. Louis Domingue started for Phoenix and made 15 saves; Niklas Treutle allowed one goal on 11 shots. The Coyotes were 1-for-6 on the power play; the Kings were 0-for-5.
Kings @ Anaheim Ducks 1-2 - Friday, September 25, 2015
Stefan Noesen and Patrick Maroon scored to help the Ducks defeat the Kings 2-1 at Honda Center. Maroon scored the game-winning goal with six seconds left in the second period. Frederik Andersen made 24 saves. Noesen's power-play goal at 1:42 of the second period opened the scoring. Trevor Lewis' shorthanded goal tied it 1-1 at 9:09 of the second. Jonathan Quick made 21 saves on 23 shots through two periods before being relieved by Jhonas Enroth, who made seven saves. Anaheim was 1-for-6 on the power play; Los Angeles was 0-for-2.
Kings v Anaheim Ducks 1-2 OT - Tuesday, September 29, 2015
Corey Perry scored two goals, including the overtime winner, to lead the Ducks to a 2-1 victory against the Kings at Staples Center. Perry was left open and beat Kings goalie Jhonas Enroth from the slot at 0:43 of the 3-on-3 overtime. He scored the winner on the Ducks' first shift of the extra period. Kyle Clifford tied the game 1-1 at 18:59 of the second period after Perry opened the scoring at 7:47. Anton Khudobin made 31 saves for Anaheim; Enroth made 28 for Los Angeles.

Canucks @ Calgary Flames 1-4 - Friday, September 25, 2015
Four players scored for the Flames in a 4-1 victory against the Canucks at Scotiabank Saddledome. Sam Bennett and Micheal Ferland each scored in the first period to give the Flames a 2-1 lead. Jake Virtanen scored at 4:29 of the first to give the Canucks a 1-0 lead. Sean Monahan and Michael Frolik extended Calgary’s lead to 4-1 with second-period goals. Flames defenseman Dennis Wideman had two assists. Vancouver goalie Jacob Markstrom made 13 saves on 14 shots in 28:09 before being relieved by Richard Bachman, who had 15 saves. Calgary goalie Jonas Hiller made 25 saves. The Flames were 1-for-8 on the power play; the Canucks were 1-for-2.
Canucks v Calgary Flames 3-4 OT - Saturday, September 26, 2015
Josh Jooris scored 1:37 into overtime to give the Flames a 4-3 win against the Canucks at Rogers Arena. Matt Stajan had his third assist on the game-winner. Brandon Bollig scored twice for Calgary, and Karri Ramo made 40 saves. Markus Granlund scored for the Flames with 6:04 remaining in the third period for the third tie of the game. Brendan Gaunce, Bo Horvat and Alex Friesen scored for Vancouver, and Ben Hutton had three assists. Ryan Miller made 22 saves.
Canucks v Phoenix Coyotes 1-0 - Monday, September 28, 2015
Jared McCann scored the only goal of the game on a power play 8:34 into the third period and Jacob Markstrom made 32 saves in the Canucks' 1-0 win against the Coyotes at Rogers Arena. Seventeen seconds after Coyotes center Kyle Chipchura was whistled for cross-checking, McCann took a pass from Ben Hutton and ripped a wrist shot from the left circle past goalie Mike Smith. Markstrom made 15 saves in the second period to keep the game scoreless. Smith made 23 saves for the Coyotes.
Canucks @ Edmonton Oilers 5-2 - Thursday, October 01, 2015
Bo Horvat scored two goals and Sven Baertschi had four assists to lead the Vancouver Canucks to a 5-2 win against the Oilers at Rexall Place. It was Edmonton's first loss of the preseason (6-1-0). Ben Hutton, Yannick Weber and Jake Virtanen also scored for Vancouver (3-3-1). Taylor Hall and Nail Yakupov scored for the Oilers. Virtanen, the sixth player taken in the 2014 NHL Draft, scored at 15:24 of the second period when Weber's shot from the point hit him in the face and got past Edmonton goalie Cam Talbot. Virtanen, who had assists on each of Horvat's goals, went to the dressing room for the rest of the period but returned for the start of the third. Oilers rookie center Connor McDavid had an assist, four shots on goal and a plus-1 rating in 20:00. Vancouver goalie Jacob Markstrom made 21 saves on 23 shots. Talbot allowed five goals on 29 shots. The Canucks were 2-for-3 on the power play; the Oilers were 0-for-3.
Canucks v Edmonton Oilers 3-2 OT - Saturday, October 03, 2015
Daniel Sedin scored 29 seconds into overtime to lift the Canucks to a 3-2 win against the Oilers at Rogers Arena in the preseason finale for each team. Bo Horvat opened the scoring 3:57 into the game and Jannik Hansen tied it for Vancouver at 18:04 of the third period after Edmonton had taken a 2-1 lead.
Ryan Miller allowed two goals on 27 shots for the Canucks, who were 4-3-1 in the preseason. Vancouver opens its regular season on Oct. 7 at the Calgary Flames. Benoit Pouliot and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored in the third period and Cam Talbot made 24 saves for the Oilers, who finished the preseason 6-1-1. Edmonton will play its first regular-season game at the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 8.
