Vancouver @ NY Islanders 2-1 SO

Ryan Miller stopped Frans Nielsen, Kyle Okposo and John Tavares in the tiebreaker. Radim Vrbata scored in the second round of the shootout for the Canucks, who have two straight games for the first time since Dec. 22-26. It is the fifth time they have won back-to-back games this season; they do not have a three-game winning streak. Miller made 21 saves in the third period. He stopped Josh Bailey from the slot 1:46 into the period. Less than two minutes later, he stopped Calvin de Haan's slap shot and the rebound, which deflected off the boards and went under Miller's pads. Miller also robbed Okposo from point-blank range with less than six minutes remaining. Henrik Sedin sustained an upper-body injury late in the first period and did not return. He was hit into the boards by Mikhail Grabovski, who got a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct. The Islanders earned a point when Ryan Strome beat Miller from the left circle through a screen with 50.8 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 1-1 after Miller had stopped New York's first 45 shots. Rookie defenseman Ben Hutton scored his first NHL goal in the second period to give the Canucks a 1-0 lead. Hutton, at the left circle, took a pass from Daniel Sedin, who was behind the Islanders net, and put a one-timer past Jaroslav Halak at 9:46. Hutton was playing in his 39th NHL game.

Florida @ Tampa Bay 1-3
Kucherov gave the Lightning a 1-0 lead at 4:21 in the second period on a wrist shot from the right circle that beat Roberto Luongo on the glove side. Nikita Nesterov and Anton Stralman were credited with the assists. Andrej Sustr's goal at 18:30 of the second period gave the Lightning a 2-0 lead. Jason Garrison's slap shot deflected of a skate and went over the net. The carom off the end boards ended up on Sustr's stick and he scored his second of the season. Bjugstad made it 2-1 at 8:06 of the third period with his eighth goal of the season. Jussi Jokinen worked the puck behind the net and found Bjugstad in the slot for a one-timer that Bishop stopped, but Bjugstad scored on the rebound. Kucherov hit the empty net with 1:24 remaining for his 18th goal of the season.
NY Rangers @ Washington 2-5

Justin Williams said he had a lot of help, and a little good fortune, in getting hat trick No. 2 of his career. Braden Holtby made 20 saves before leaving the game late in the second period with dehydration, though he was credited with the win. Philipp Grubauer made 11 saves in relief. Kreider gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead at 10:17 of the first period when he redirected captain Ryan McDonagh's point shot past Holtby's glove. Ovechkin tied it by scoring a power-play goal with 1:59 remaining in the period. On a broken play, Kuznetsov sent a cross-ice pass to Ovechkin, who settled the puck and sidestepped Rangers defenseman Dylan McIlrath before beating Raanta with a wrist shot from the high slot for his 27th goal of the season. Johansson's power-play goal at 7:18 of the second put the Capitals ahead to stay. He tipped Nicklas Backstrom's pass on the doorstep past Raanta for his 12th of the season. Williams scored 1:12 later when he deflected Taylor Chorney's point shot past Raanta. Kreider scored his ninth goal of the season at 17:28 to make it 3-2. Rick Nash worked the puck out of the corner but lost it in the high slot. Kreider picked up the loose puck and beat Holtby with a wrist shot. Fourteen seconds later, Holtby skated off the ice and was replaced by Grubauer. Williams made it 4-2 at 4:51 of the third period when he tipped Kuznetsov's pass from the slot past Raanta. He completed his hat trick and scored his 16th goal of the season by hitting the empty net with 1:51 remaining.

Philadelphia @ Detroit 2-1 SO

Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek scored in the shootout to give the Flyers a 2-1 win against the Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena. After Giroux matched Pavel Datsyuk's goal in the second round of the tiebreaker, Flyers goaltender Michal Neuvirth stopped Brad Richards to start the third round. Voracek then ended the game by snapping a shot through the pads of Detroit goaltender Petr Mrazek.
Giroux scored 4:24 into the third period and Neuvirth made 29 saves for Philadelphia. Giroux tied the game by beating Mrazek with a one-timer from the bottom of the right circle off a pass from Voracek on the rush. Shayne Gostisbehere appeared to have scored the winning goal with 1.6 seconds left in the third period, but the goal was waved off because Simmonds, in front of Mrazek, jumped up and his rear end hit Mrazek in the head, knocking Mrazek down. Datsyuk hit the crossbar with a little under seven minutes left in the third period, about three minutes after the Red Wings killed off 1:36 of a 5-on-3 Flyers power play. Kronwall gave Detroit a 1-0 lead with 1:35 left in the second period when his shot from the point deflected off Radko Gudas, tumbled over Neuvirth's shoulder and slid into the net. The Red Wings got a five-minute power play 2:20 into the game after Ryan White was assessed a match penalty for elbowing Tomas Jurco, who had just taken a shot from the right circle. White's elbow caught Jurco in the face. Funny, that's not like a Philadelphia player to cheap shot some one is it?

Los Angeles @ Anaheim 3-2

Anze Kopitar, who agreed to an eight-year contract extension Saturday, scored what proved to be the winning goal when he tipped a shot by Brayden McNabb past John Gibson at 17:40 in the second period to make it 3-1. Anaheim's new acquisition, David Perron, who came in a trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, made a good impression in his debut with the Ducks when he beat Quick with a shot through traffic from the left point 5:33 into the third period to cut the deficit to one goal. Andrew Cogliano appeared to have tied the game at 9:46 when Ryan Kesler's centering pass went off his skate and into the net. But the goal was waved off after the officials ruled that Cogliano had directed the puck into the net with a distinct kicking motion, and the call was upheld after a video review. Rickard Rakell tied the game 33 seconds after Lecavalier's goal when he deflected Shea Theodore's shot into the net with the butt-end of his stick. Toffoli put the Kings ahead to stay at 15:44 by knocking a loose puck off the chest of Sami Vatanen and into the net for his 22nd goal of the season. Kopitar made it 3-1 less than two minutes later.
